Speed Net 4.2 For SPCOD
Speednet Version 4.2:
I. Introduction:
Release of Version 4.2 is necessitated due to the following update requirements:
ii. Handling of new barcode series with prefix ‘PP’ to allocated to Passport articles.
iii. Requirement to allow Prepaid/Advance customers to book SP-COD articles.
iv. New requirements and bug fixes as detailed in the ‘New Features’ section of this document.
Further, SpeedNet Communication is now equipped with additional ability
to download & perform auto-upgrade for SpeedNet versions, new
scripts and office master files from a single location on SpeedNet
Central Server. This is an additional facility to the feature made
available in Speednet Communication 4.1,which facilitated pushing of
Speednet Version 4.1.1 from Speednet Central Server.

II. Pre-Requisites:
1. For Fresh Installation:
i) SpeedNet Server: NIL
ii) SpeedNet Client: NIL
iii) SpeedNet Communication:
a) . Net Framework 2.0 or higher
b) Windows Installer 3.1 or higher
2. For Upgradation:
i) SpeedNet Client Version 3.1.2 Update 6 Release date: 01/10/2012
OR
SpeedNet Client Version 3.2 Beta (Released to Sorting / IC Hubs for Bulk Delivery)
OR
SpeedNet Client Version 4.0 Release dated 10.06.2013 (Released for testing of SP-COD and BRSP)
OR
SpeedNet Client Version 4.0 Released on 12.09.2013
OR
SpeedNet Client Version 4.1 Released on 31.10.2013
OR
SpeedNet Client Version 4.1.1 Released on 02.12.2013
ii) Additional requirement for Post Offices:
Update 8 to Meghdoot 7.0 for SP-COD operations
Note: Fresh Installation for SpeedNet Communication is mandatory even for upgradation.
